Angelica Blick

Angelica is one of my favourite style bloggers, so I thought I'd share some of her awesome looks!

Her style is nothing like mine, but I appreciate her simplistic looks and how she wears colour. Plus, her shoe collection is to die for!

A Moment of Silence

Last night at 11:08pm Troy Davis was put to death by lethal injection in Georgia, USA for crime he may not have committed.

The justice system was put in place to ensure that those who commit crimes are punished. It is supposed to be proved, beyond reasonable doubt, that the person standing trail for the crime is guilty. This did not happen with Troy Davis.

What is done cannot be undone, so I send love out to the family of Troy Davis and hope that what happened last night is never repeated.

RIP Troy Davis.

Fifteen Things Every Woman Should Own

If I could pack a little goodie bag and give it to every woman in the world, here's what it would contain:

1. Spice Lip Pencil from MAC.

(image via olimpiamais.blogspot.com)

A gorgeous colour and it suits all skintones. Many people are apprehensive about lip pencil's but they are my favourite product for the lips. I apply it to my lips with a light hand then go over with tinted lipbalm. Nice and natural!

2. American Apparel Four-Way Stretch Hig-Waist Jeans.

(image via zanitazanita.blogspot.com)

I'm not a big fan of jeans and find it ridiculously hard to find a pair that fits me well due to having such a small waist and a large hip-to-waist ratio. These are the ONLY pair of jeans I wear, I've had my black pair for two years and they are still going strong. The high waist is perfect and so flattering. I'd die without them... all four pairs I own.

3. Frizz Ease from John Frieda.

A life saver for me. It stops me from looking like Sideshow Bob.

4. Lincoln Park After Dark Nail Polish from OPI.

Its a gorgeously vampy blackish-purple colour that I wear I daily. Taylor Jacobson, Rachel Zoe's former assistant, is a big fan of it too.

5. Ruby Woo Lipstick from MAC.

The perfect red lipstick. If you like a darker red lip; try 'Charred Red' or 'Sin' from the MAC Pro Store.

6. Noir Eyeshadow from Laura Mercier.

I have searched high and low for the best black eyeshadow that money can buy and this is it! Its the blackest of blacks and it stays firmly put. It gets no better.

7. False Lash Effect Mascara from YSL in 'Noir Radical'.

I'd spent my last £20 on this without a doubt. I love love love it!

8. Skincare from Kiehl's.

I can't recommend a specific product because what will work for you is dependant on your skin type but in my opinion, Kiehls is the best skincare brand out there. I have skin that gets horribly oily and I also have eczema but Kiehls 'Yerba Mate Tea' line has truly worked wonders for me.

9. Lita's from Jeffrey Campbell.

Easy to walk in, sky high lace-up ankle boots. These come in a bazillion colours (click here) and have quickly become a wardrobe staple for fashion lovers everywhere! Grab them while you can!

10. Sheer Finish Pressed Powder from Bobbi Brown.

Perfection! Keeps my skin nice and matte without looking heavy. I don't wear a foundation because I've tried a million from loads of different brands and can't find a match, so I usually just pop on concealer then dust this over my face.

11. See Sheer Lipstick from MAC.

(image via temptalia.com)

The perfect everyday lip colour. Its a sheer, natural pink that suits every skintone. Its beautiful worn over the 'Spice' pencil.

12. Eyebrows from MAC.

The best eyebrow pencil on the market! I'm not a fan of using powder on the brows because I think it can look messy and fury, no matter how clean the edges are, so instead I use this gorgeous waxy, twist-up pencil to fill in my eyebrows.

13. Desire Blush from NARS.

(image via mysurfergirl.info)

The perfect pink blush. It looks scarily bright in the pan but its a nice natural flush of pink if used with a light hand. Nice for everyday.

14. Double-Layer Maxi Skirt from American Apparel.

(image via http://blogs.lexpress.fr/cafe-mode/2010/09/21/la-theorie-de-lourlet/)

Haven't found a more gorgeous Maxi Skirt in all my born days! It comes in array of colours, sits on the waist and ends at the ankle. I wore the black version of this skirt out the other day and was stopped by a bunch of different people asking where its from! Its so flattering, I love it!

15. Fast Stroke Eyeliner in Black from Collection 2000.

I don't wear drugstore makeup because I have sensitive skin and from experience; its mostly trash, BUT this is amazing. There's no smudging, its easy to apply, easy to remove and its a true black.

Honorable Mentions: All of the bodysuits from American Apparel. Black Peeptoe Wedges from Topshop. Superslick Liquid Eyeliner from MAC. Leather Biker Jacket from Topshop. Converse All Stars. 'Gucci Guilty' Perfume by Gucci.

Then & Now: Amber Rose

Ok, not exactly now, but we all know Amber Rose looked her best during the time that she was on Kanye's arm.

Natasha Poly

I had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous supermodel a couple of years ago in London. To my delight, she was very polite and down to earth, though she didn't say much. When she did speak, she had a gloriously low voice and an accent.

Despite popular belief, not all models are stick thin. Natasha was, of course, very slender but she didn't look unhealthy in the slightest. Her slim frame was perfectly suited to her above average height.

I liked Natasha Poly before meeting her, and after getting to see her face to face I like her even more!

Thankfully, every model I've met has been lovely (Naomi Campbell, Daria Werbowy, Alice Dellal, Catherine McNeil, Jourdan Dunn etc), I am pleased to say that Natasha can be added to that list.

Absolutely outstanding!

Chris' talent is undeniable and I'm glad he got to showcase it at this years VMA Awards. As a long time Chris Brown fan, its moments like this that make me proud.

I love Kanye West, too. Lovely to see him showing his support!

In Loving Memory of Aaliyah

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Aaliyah Dana Haughton's death. The multi-talented star died in a plane crash after filming the video for her song Rock The Boat.

Aaliyah was known for her tender vocals and laid back vibe. She influenced a generation by singing sweetly over heavy Timbaland-produced beats. Bandana's, shades, crop tops and side-swept bangs were signature to Aaliyah's tomboy style and the look is still replicated by many artists and fans alike today.

Like many others, I still remember exactly where I was when I heard the news of her passing. I clearly recall sitting in the home of a family member and being shocked and confused when hearing that the beautiful, softly spoken singer had died.

Aaliyah's songs are still as relevant today as they were the day they were released. Though its been ten years, Aaliyah still lives on in our hearts and on our iPods.

Rest in peace, Babygirl.

PROFILE: Felice Fawn

Those eyes, that hair, that face.

It's easy to become enchanted with Felice Fawn just by looking at her; she's undeniably gorgeous and exudes a certain charm. But, as cliché as it sounds, the most beautiful part of Felice is actually beneath the exterior.

The twenty-two year old photographer/retoucher/model/designer was born in Cambridge on March 4th 1989 (the astrologer in me just has to add that she's a Pisces) and now resides in Hertfordshire with her boyfriend Rich and her cat Voodoo. She makes a living from her talents, all of which are displayed on her website.

It is clear from reading her blog section of her website that Felice is not only highly intelligent but also well informed. She has her own strong opinions and beliefs about what is important to her, but expresses them in a way that is respectful to the fact that everyone may not share the same views.

Felice has an appeal that can't be fabricated or faked. She's smart, empathetic and genuine; you can literally feel the warmth in her responses to the questions that she is posed by her large number of followers. Most of the people that contact her are individuals that just need a little advice, or someone to uplift them, and with just a few kind words, Felice always manages to deliver what is needed authentically.

Ladies and Gentleman, this is definitely one to watch. The girl is talented, clever, and paired with that je ne sais quoi that she has by the bucket load, she's definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Felice Fawn is unquestionably an inspiration to our generation, even if she teaches people nothing more than the priceless lessons of sticking to your beliefs, keeping your head up and never judging a book by its cover.
